Why is McCamey ISD calling a bond?

The McCamey ISD Board of Trustees unanimously voted to call a $12 million bond election for
May 2, 2026. The proposed bond would support the development of educator housing in a effort to increase affordable local housing options and help the district retain and recruit high-quality educators.
